How our AI features work
Mediaflow offers several AI features to help our users work more efficiently and achieve smoother workflows. These include:
- AI-generated alt text for images
- Visual image search
- AI keyword suggestions
- Facial recognition and face matching in our GDPR module
- Automatic transcriptions for video
We use established open models as well as proprietary models for visual search. Our customers’ data is not used to train AI models. The models run on Mediaflow’s own servers in Swedish data centers with MSB Protection Class 3. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and access to the production environment is strictly restricted and logged.
How we handle your data
- Your data is not used to train any models. We never use customers’ files, texts or searches to train or improve AI models, whether our own or anyone else’s.
- You own your content. The AI features process your content to provide a result, and nothing more.
- Sensitive features, such as face matching in the GDPR module, are optional features that you actively choose to enable. Biometric data is processed in accordance with the data processing agreement and stored in our own environment.
Is information shared with third parties?
No. Mediaflow does not share any customer data with third parties. Files, searches, facial data, and content processed by our self-hosted features are handled on our own servers in Sweden. Customer data is also not used to train or improve the AI models. For alt text, the generated English text is translated using DeepL within the EU. Only the text is sent externally – never the image or any customer information.
New AI features
Every new AI feature and every new external AI provider is approved by our CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and our Data Protection Officer before launch. We monitor developments regarding the EU AI Act and label AI-generated content where required.
