How do you find the right file when you need it the most? For many teams, that means endless folder browsing, repeated searches, duplicates and manual sorting. With Smart Folders in Mediaflow, you can work in a metadata-driven way – and let your files organise themselves into a much smoother workflow.
Smart Folders are based on our advanced search technology. It can find files using automated parameters such as colour content and AI keywords – but also metadata you’ve added yourself, like photographer, colour labels or ratings. In short: Smart Folders are saved searches, stored as folders for quick access whenever you need them.
To save and configure a Smart Folder, you need to be a Pro user in Mediaflow. You set up the search criteria once and save them as a Smart Folder. From that point on, Mediaflow keeps the folder updated automatically, and all users can open it and view the files they have permission to access. And whenever a new file matches your criteria, it appears instantly without you having to do anything.
Why are Smart Folders so powerful?
✔ A metadata-driven workflow. A manual folder structure gets difficult to manage as more users get involved. With Smart Folders, you build a more automated and metadata-driven workflow that doesn’t depend on a shared folder structure. This means more control – with less administration.
